Ok so I got the sims 2 a few weeks ago and when I first got it I went over to my friend's house to play. We clicked on the lots and houses bin I think and all these different houses came up and we could choose one, put it in the neighbourhood and a sim could move in. When I installed the game on my pc those houses weren't there! I can play the game without them but I'm not a good builder and I really would like to use them. Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks

Go to build your own town. In the house lot there should be some extra houses that you can put out onto the ground. It should be the house button next to the make a lot button.

Basically if you instaled the same games on you're Pc as you're friend did, and you don't have the houses he has that most likely means that he either made those houses himself or he downloaded them from sims2 mods websties SO Basically if you have a flash drive/ jump drive/ thumb drive/ a computer memory stick/ Data CD/ or a floppy Disc you could go to you're friends house and copy his houses from his downloads folder in the EA Games Folder and transfer it to your computers Download Folder... If you have any moer questions you can ask me ok =) Hope this Helped!!!

You can go to www.sims2.com the official site and download lots of all kinds, families, people, skins, cloths, objects, and other goodies.. My page is AChan237 As for now though I do not have any empty lots other then community ones, but I do have some family lots. Just go to search and type in some spefics of what your looking for, and you should find a lot!
Your game and your friends will not be the exact same unless you download and build the same stuff and make the same designs in play. Because it is on a different computer and you are different people. Life is like sims we are all unique and do things differently.
