Date of Question: Apr 23 2008 | Question ID: 116272

I downloaded a lot of stuff from www.modthesims2.com and downloaded everything they needed. I made sure that it didn't need expansion packs, and they won't show up in my game!! I try everything they say to do, but the downloads won't come up! So please give me a hint on what to do.

Thanks :)

It depends what they are for really. I downloaded a ton of stuff from there one day and it wasnt until I decided to create a group of young adults for universities did I realise that alot of the stuff I had downloaded were only for young adults.
So make note of who they are for and then check out the custom content on your sims2. I always find them difficult to spot.

Try putting them in the downloads folder. It's in your EA games folder which is in My documents. They should work then. Make sure you have Enabled downloads on. When you start the game a page comes up with your list of downloads in the folder. When you buy a new Sims 2 game it will go back to disable downloads.

Make sure you saved them in the downloads folder under The Sims 2 on your harddrive. But I realy do not suggest getting mods from anywhere els but www.thesims2.ea.com

I had this problem. Modthesims2 supplies a link to a program called Sims 2 File Maid. Downlaod this and when you download a new file, open file maid and drag the new file onto the grass. This installs it to you game. Hope this helps. Happy simming!!

Oh and make sure you have an unzipping program like WinZip or WinRar to unzip the zipped download files
