at beginning of game you'll need to find at least forty rupees to buy the deku shield. Then go to the store next to your tree house, it's a giant stump. Talk to salesman behind counter and browse to the right and purchase the deku shield. Now go to the mid way elevated level of the forest in the corner directly diagonal from store, It has a lot of fences and a single house on it. to get to it go up the dirt ramp near the entrance. now go through the fences until you can see a little hole in the wall. Crawl through the hole, and go straight, left, right, left, then finally right there will be a chest. Open it to claim the kokiri sword. now go to the entrance right next to the store, blocked by Mido. Pause and go to the left screen which shows Link. Now equip the shield and sword. Un pause and talk to mido, he will let you pass to the deku tree. Follow the very short path until you meet the deku tree. Now say you are ready and go inside him. ;)
