When he is about to blow fire, throw a bomb in his mouth, he will shut his mouth and then when the bomb explodes, slash him with your sword, keep repeating.

Throw a bomb in King Dodongo's mouth when he opens it up to breathe out fire. This will stun him leaving him open for attack. Repeat the process. Also to avoid his roll stand near the lava. I beat this boss without getting hurt the first time I ever faced him.

First of all, everyones wrong. He said dodongo's cavern, not the giant dodongo. Just wander through doors, youll get it after a while.
