Scarecrow Song

Do you need the scarecrow song in order to beat the game??? I don't remember what song I played as a kid so I can't play it as an adult.

You need the Scarecrow Song inside the Fire Temple. So if you've forgotten the song you played, you can travel back in time and change it to a new song (after you complete the Forest Temple).
Then return to the Scarecrow and play it for him.
