You can always play the mini-games, such as:-
The Shooting Gallery (Slingshot) - Shooting Rupees at the Hyrule Marketplace
The Shooting Gallery (Bow) - Shooting Rupees at Kakariko Village for the Silver Quiver
Gerudo Horse-back Archery (Bow) - Shooting pots and targets at Gerudo Fortress for the Gold Quiver
Bombchu Bowling - Aiming Bombchus at holes in the wall at Hyrule Marketplace
Horse-back Racing - Beating time limit at Malon's/Ingo's Ranch to win a cow
Fishing (Adult)- Catch the Hyrule Loach in the fishing area at Lake Hylia, or the 20-pound fish

Or, you can:-
Use the Longshot to get up to the opening half-way up the Windmill at Kakariko Village, climb up the stairs, and pick up the Cucco. Jump out the Windmill and see how far you can glide.
Attack any Cucco several times and see how long you can survive.
Killing the Skull Kids in the Lost Woods (there are 3) before they disappear.
Jump into the canyon on your way to Gerudo Fortress (so that you dive-in), and try to land on the ledge (so that you dive into the ground, ehehe).
