This does not work for most others. However, it did work for me even after the update while I was at my aunt's house. You see, she has a bad signal where she lives and when I tried the time cheat there, it worked. The server of Sims free play logs when you begin an action. Because of this, people with a decently good signal are accessed by the server which logs when they began the given action. Whenever these people try the time cheat, it will often not work because of the server.

So I have concluded, although I am not entirely so sure, that if you have a good signal connection (a lot of bars), you will be logged by the server. But at my aunt's house, I had none. Sims free play does not require a signal, it just requires WiFi.

In this case, my aunt had WiFi which is why I still had access to the Sims free play on my HTC Vivid. (An android phone). Because of her bad signal, the server could not log when I began the actions, therefore, when I forwarded the time on my phone, the actions the Sims were doing in my game, actually finished.

Some sites say going into Airplane mode on your phone will work. I have not yet tested this, but I have my doubts on this. Airplane mode gets rid of the connection, its like taking a computer and unplugging the internet from it. But when you turn it on, the information saved is catched right back up again.

I've tried to do as much research as possible as well as a few experiments myself. As of the update on the server, this cheat will most likely not work for many due to the fact of the many growing cellphone and or connection towers which increase the strength of connection and signals.

this cheat works very well. you can also use it to speed up building instuction, but you go forward in time not back. I have used it and am now addicted to the app but unfortunetly i now have a problem that i hear eveybody is strugging with.

i built a house, but when you go to confirm the build it just clicks to the home screen, i have tried moving time backward and forward but there is no difference. any help?

p.s the cheat did not cause this!
