Where do you buy a fireplace from? I use to see it all that time but now I can't find it.

You need to outside to the "find building place" then click on a new house and build a house then you can move or get a new player in

You go to the store in the living room section their are two things that look like fire places their is one that's six LP and the one that's 25,000 Simoleons. I would get the 25,000 simeleons one by it then sell it for 1,000. The selling price might be cheap but at least you finish the Quest.

Go to Home Store and chose Living Room, you will see "Stone Fireplace". It will cost you 6LP.
