How can I add another Sim to a sharehouse? Also if two Sims are living together can you sell one of the houses?

No not in this game. If you want to share house, all you do is use the whistle and call another sim over. But selling a house is not necessary because that's the sim real home. It cannot stay over in another sim's house as house sharing, just a visit.

You cannot get a new sim to move in but when when a sim becomes best mates with another sim you get an option task to move in. They do not have to sleep in the same bed and they do not have to have a romantic liaision. The spare house can then be demolished or better still sold room by room, item by item, this way you will at least recoup some of your cash. You may wish to put some of the more expensive items in your inventory save splashing out for them again.

If two sims are married and live together you can only add one by becoming good friends with a person that already lives in the house. If they are good friends you can choose to move in.
You can sell one of the two houses if no one lives there anymore. But to save money first sell all roomes and items in the rooms. Then on the map of your town click on the house and you can remove it.
