Click on the Pet Shop. Select the dog you want to buy. It takes at least 5 LP. After buying the dog it shows all your Sims and asks who you want to get the dog. I haven't tried giving a Sim more than one dog. If it works it would be, at that point choosing someone who already has a dog.

This dosent work for me. But I do have 1 cat, 1 rabbit and 1 dog. I wanted another dog in the same house, but all of the other pets that I just said are in the same house, so I don't know if the limit to pets is 3, or if I just dosent work.

The game will only allow 1 dog and 1 cat per house. I don't see how there can be a cheat to get another dog or cat.
