Okay, so I have the iPhone 4 and I downloaded the Sims Freeplay. It's only been a day and I'm stuck on the mailbox. I achieved the goal, but the goal bar constantly blinks at me to "Check Your mailbox". It only allows you to check it once (daily), and the goal won't be achieved. I have tried changing the date and time on my phone to see of it was a holiday glitch thing, but it just won't work. Please tell me if you have any clues to help me convince the app that the goal has been in fact achieved.

Okay, I have tried all the suggestions about changing the date etc. And they haven't worked.

BUT, I have just done this and it does work:

1. Close the game fully ( Double tap the home button then hold down the app until it shakes, then press the minus icon)

2. Change the date on your iPad/iPhone to 20th January 2012 (make sure you change the year as well!!)

3. Soft reset your iPad/iPhone (hold down the home button and the power button together until you see the apple icon in the middle of the screen) Note: if you haven't done this before, don't WORRY this will not wipe or effect your data. Make sure you keep it held down until you see the apple logo, not just until it powers down.

4. Once your iPad/iPhone has restarted, start the game up. You should receive a "happy new year message"

5. Complete the mail task.

6. Change your date back to automatically set date

7. Make a cup of coffee with a smug look on your face, safe in the knowledge that you can once again spend all night ignoring your partner and half listening to the programme your have told them you are watching whilst you spend some quality time with your new friends.

You have to sign in or sign up for origin (it's that lil orange icon at the top left in the main menu) I had the same problem (a message pop up telling me to sign in)......I guess try it and see if that work for you :-)

Try updating it. Maybe it'll work.
