Go to the Gerudo desert. To the west (in GCN) is a massive pillar; make your way to it. Once you're there, Midna will note it. Defeat the poe here if it's nighttime, then teleport it to where it's supposed to go. Once you've done this, you have access to the Cave of Ordeals--rather tough, especially if you don't have all seven hidden sword skills. Make sure to stock up on blue potions, fairies, and other healing dooda's. Oh, and gather all the Mirror fragments--the items in those dungeons (sp?) are expedient to finish that quest. Oh, and use arrows and bomb arrows sparingly.
