How do you beat the STAR game in Castle Town?

Get the claw shot for the first one and the double claw shot for the second one. You need to get as big combos as possible.

Use your claw shot and you'll get a bigger quiver

Climb the first platform, run clockwise all the way around but don't jump back to the first platform. Hookshot straight across to get 3 orbs, then just be quick and hookshot through all of the other orbs. Just have to be fast.

Using the hookshot, shoot out toward the yellow star on the lowest platform slightly to the left of Link. Hop clockwise onto all the platforms around the cage, the last being the highest with a white star. While still standing on the platform, shoot out straight across to the platform on the opposite side of the cage from you. This will help you collect a combination of stars. Now, jump straight out from the platform. You should collect two more stars during the jump. There should only be two pink stars left at this point. Just quickly shoot the hookshot in the direction of each star. That's it. It may take a few trys but being quick about it is key. Good luck.

I completed star game with single then double clawshot, wanting to see if I might get more by besting my own record of 1:14m I kept playing and eventually best it with 1:09m and both times I only got a 100 rupee! As you're no longer trying to just best his game! You have to also beat your own time! So I thought maybe a special prize for getting under a minute but I've gave up as it's looking unlikely despite the price for playing goingbup
