hanging from a rope

Ok I need help...when you are trying to get the bobs from the ship when you jump on the rope can you change dirctions or wut do you do I have ben stuck on this for a long time...pleas help

Yes actually, when swinging, hold R and wait to come to a stop. Change direction, let go of R and start swinging with the control stick
