When you return to the island, you'll have bombs. You need to go around back, you'll have to go into the whirlpool, but as you spin around you'll be able to shoot bombs at the wall. If you can shoot the wall down before you get sucked down you'll get to talk to Jabun, the water spirit, and he'll give you Nayru's pearl.
