How do I expand my magic bar?
I am already well into the game,(assembled Triforce shards, back at Hyrule), but my magic bar hasn't been increased yet! Did I miss something? Also I would like to learn how to apply cheat codes. Thanks for your help.--Ratthew--

To double your magic meter, you have to defeat the Big Octo at Two-Eye Reef.

BEFORE you went to hyrule the second time you were supposed to search the ocean until you fought a huge octopus. if you kill it a fairy might come out and increase your magic. but its too late now. you dont NEED it though. youll be fine without it, trust me.

when i kill it all i get is a round thingy, that if you break theres all kinds of stuff in it.
im only at the wind temple and i need it, do i keep killing it?

first you have to go to the place where makar was stolen and keep planting seeds and you will eventuly see two swithes.Step on them and the fan will open Guest answered:
Go to two-eye reef then walk on top of the wall.then you should run intO a guy with a white coat.talk to him.then he will say something about a bunch of seagulls. Now take out your telescope and look around until you see them. Now go on your boat and sail tward it.once you are there you will then see a giant squid.defeat it with a boomerang or a bow.and then you will free the fairy
.p.s I already beat the game and then got it.

Teleport to Outset Island then set your wind direction to east and sail 2 squares east until you see alot of seagulls. You'll get into a fight with a big octo. Get rid of all 4 eyes and a Great Fairy will pop out and double your magic.
