Even though the life on a pirate is an exciting and adventurous one, it is also quite dangerous. Because of this, you will need to equip your pirate with weapons in order to protect your livestock and treasures aboard your Ship form being stolen, to defeat other pirates looking to wage war against you, and to overcome the undead skeleton armies that guard most of the buried treasure in the world. In total, there are four different types of weapons you can obtain and use during your journey. Each weapon has many variations to it; the better the rarity of it, the more it will cost and the better it will perform.

The Cutlass in one of the four weapons you can purchase and use in Sea of Thieves, being the only sword type weapon among the rest. This melee weapon is best used against certain enemies in close range combat, like what you will see with skeleton armies.

The Pistol in one of the four weapons you can purchase and use in Sea of Thieves, being one of three different types of firearms you can obtain. Even though it requires a lengthy reload time and is fairy slow to shoot, it is one of the best, most accurate weapons you can have against mid range targets.

The Blunderbuss in one of the four weapons you can purchase and use in Sea of Thieves, being one of three different types of firearms you can obtain. The Blunderbuss is a lot like a shotgun of sorts, dealing the most damage among all the other weapons. Unfortunately, it has terrible accuracy and requires a lot of time to reload. Only think about using it against short range targets.

The Eye of Reach in one of the four weapons you can purchase and use in Sea of Thieves, being one of three different types of firearms you can obtain. The Eye of Reach is almost like a sniper firearm, having incredible accuracy for long range targets. It isn't the most powerful weapon you can have, but it can nail enemies from a mile away.
