Redstone can be obtained by Mining redstone ore with an iron pickaxe or stronger, by killing withches, or found in chests. Redstone naturally spawn in jungle temples and it can also be traded for emeralds. Redstone when used with other redstone components can make wiring to create complex mechanisms such as a lever that turns on a light, a button that switches a minecart track, or a pressure plate that opens a trap door. Redstone can also be used in brewing to increase the length of a potion's effect.
