What are Minecraft Realms?

Realms are a multiplayer service that allows you to play Minecraft PE online privately with up to 10 people. If you select the 10 player option which costs $7.99 a month the first 30 days are free then after the initial 30 days you will automatically be charged which will continue every 30 days until you cancel the subscription. There is a cheaper option which allows three players in a Realm (three with you, the owner) and costs $3.99 per month. To invite people to join your Realm you click the invitation open, highlight the server name, and then press 'Accept' to make the Realm appear on your list. Choosing 'Reject' will remove your name from the whitelist.

Can you add Mods to Realms?

At the moment Realms in the Minecraft Pocket Edition does not support modding.

Can I export my Minecraft map from Realms?

This can be done on the PC version of Minecraft but unfortunately the Pocket Edition of Minecraft does not support this feature.

What's Xbox Live and why do I need it to play Realms?

Xbox Live is the technology that is used to connect players together. Although it is named after the Xbox console it doesn't require an Xbox and is completely free to use.

Can I see which of my invited players has accessed my Realm?

This feature is not yet available on the Pocket Edition of Minecraft, you can though however see in the game itself which players you’ve invited through Xbox Live.

Do I need Xbox Live Gold to play Realms?

No. Xbox Live Gold is a paid service and is not required for Realms or any aspect of Minecraft Pocket Edition. You only need to sign up to Xbox Live, which is free to use.

Can I play on Realms across different devices?

Yes. Players playing on Minecraft PE on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows 10 or Gear VR can play together while players of the PC/Mac version of the game can only play with each other.

Can I use admin commands?

Realms for Minecraft Pocket Edition does not support admin commands yet.
