One of the best materials that you can find in Minecraft PE are diamonds as they can be used to craft effective Mining tools. Unfortunately diamonds are not easy to come by and minning them requires time and patience. Before you begin minning for diamonds ensure you have food with you as you will be digging straight down at a 45 degree angle to the bedrock which is the bottom layer. Diamonds are found in layers 1-15 (especially layer 8). Start the mine around layers 8-11 by digging a central room (2 blocks tall, 4 blocks long, and 4 blocks high) and then dig corridors (2 blocks high and 50 blocks long) branching away from the mine. Keep digging and be patient, diamonds occur in less than 1 percent of blocks in the game so it could be while before you find some. When you mine a diamond you will need an iron pickaxe or a diamond pickaxe. A wood, stone, or gold pickaxe won’t do the trick you will just mine through the diamond ore and no diamonds will be produced. Another way to get diamonds is to explore cave systems where you will find a water bucket will come in handy to create paths if there is lava in your way. Although rare there is a possibility of finding diamonds in chests within abandoned mine shafts or villages.
