Eventually, you will be ready to sell some of your produce. There are a few ways of doing this. First, people can just visit your farm and ask if you have any items. The first opportunity you have to sell some of your produce is when Joan visits your farm at Level 3. She asks you to sell her some bread. These sorts of interactions do occur fairly regularly, and you should take advantage of them to shift your excess produce. The computer will send people your way regularly throughout your Hay Day adventure. Secondly, you can sell items using the Delivery Truck which will come up the drive to your farm. This will post notices on the notice board which you can interact with.
Next, you can try to use your Roadside Shop to sell directly to friends, if your offer is enticing enough. You can also place an advert in the newspaper, which will ensure even players you are not familiar with get to see it. This also facilitates Trading through message boards and forums. Finally, you can use the dock and boat to sell certain items.

I love selling items, a good deal for cheaper items so quick sell, you have choice of how much. Nails wood etc is very valuable for selling but only sell excess to next upgrade in storage. Its the best harvesting/making game I know. Even computer characters buy from you.
This game is an Time Management game... Suposed to be played a couple of times over 10-20minutes and not sitting behind it and wait till a production is completed... on the Roadside you can sell everything and best price is always a few gold coins under the maximum amount.. and if your barn is full just sell stuff you have in quantity and at level 34 upgrading your items will be easier so just carry on. the Diamonds can be collected over time so dont waste them for instant productions, safe them for larger production chains

When selling items at the roadside the ad goes up immediately thus people knowing what you're selling, Second you can sell more items at roadside by hitting the plus sign & also you can sell for as much as the game allows just by hitting plus sign and third you upgrade you're barn by collecting items like nails , tape , wood etc hope this was helpful..
I don't play the game, but the other half does. She complains that when she puts things in the store to sell, they're sold while she's still putting them out. Sounds good to me, but she thinks she's being stalked, can't understand how people know to buy, the instant she's selling. Can someone explain that to me?

I'm just starting the game but I'm learning that you can find the supplies you need for upgrades by harvesting. If you get too many, sell in the roadside shop. You can also buy parts from the newspaper. Keep looking. It changes every few mins.
How to upgrade barn as it gets full so fast and not able to make orders fast enough as everything takes so long! Then you can not sell fast enough. My upset ness is that I can not keep buying diamonds as I am on unemployment and what can I do to make barn bigger? It fills up every two days?..
