For players who crave for a little variation in their daily tasks (aside from maintaining their crops or Mining for gems) or maybe long for a more relaxing way of staying productive then fishing may prove to be the perfect activity to satisfy such demands.
To get started on fishing, you will of course, have to acquire your very own Fishing Rod. Fortunately, you won’t have to complete any quest or pay up just to get a rod. Your Fishing Rod will be given to you by Gilbert.
Now that you have your Fishing Rod, you may begin fishing on any available lake or river. To begin fishing, simply activate the Farm mode, stand in front of a body of water, and then tap on the area you’d like your character to fish.
Depending on the amount of luck you have—and the quality of spot you’ve chosen, you may or may not feel your Fishing Rod wiggle with a fish. But if in case it does wriggle around (you’ll notice movement in the water), you will have to reel in the fish before it gets away. To do this, simply tap and hold your character or your Fishing Rod to catch the fish.
If you are lucky and your fish didn’t swim away, you may enjoy your catch and put it right in your Rucksack to sell later on. The price of the fish shall depend on its size and the type of fish you acquired. Meanwhile, the size and type of the fish can vary depending on the spot you chose and the level of your Fishing Rod. To upgrade your Fishing Rod, you will have to pay Brutus a visit and pay a small fee.
With your fish, you may either sell them as it is, use them as an ingredient in a recipe, or even give it as a gift!
