Crop Mutation

When planting crops, you have an option to be able to mutate your crops for a higher yield. In order for the seed of a particular mutated crop to be sold at Sam’s shop, you will have to plant more of that particular mutated crop and then send a particular hoard of that mutated crop for shipment for the seed of the mutated crop to be sold at Sam’s shop.

Tip: If you are not aware of when a crop will mutate, always try to use fertilizer on them.

Aside from planting more of the mutated crops during a season you notice mutation, one other thing you will have to consider when looking forward to a mutated crop is that mutation goes through stages. Meaning, you will have to successfully get the crop’s first mutation before gaining the next stage of mutation. Then in order to have the seeds of the mutated crop, you will once again plant and ship a certain number of that particular mutated crop first for the seeds to be sold at Sam’s shop.

One other note in crop mutation is the fact that you have an option to yield a crop of “Great” quality. To do this, you will have to plant them at their favored season. Meanwhile, it is also important to take note of the season in which crops started to mutated since planting a certain crop on the season it mutated will reward you with a “Greater” quality of crop.

Tip: In the same manner, using a fertilizer provides you a chance to yield a crop of greater quality too. It is also important to note that some crops may require fertilizer to mutate so make sure to have a few bags of fertilizer ready in your stash.
