Out of all the battles your will have against the Leaders of the Antagonist Organizations from previous Pokemon Regions during the Team Rainbow Rocket Episode apart of the Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Post Games, your bought against Team Flare’s Lysandre, specifically the one in Pokemon Ultra Sun, has got to be the most difficult one apart of this given storyline. To start, every last one of his Pokemon are at Level 65 or higher. This is no different than what you will see with the other leaders during the story against Team Rainbow Rocket, but still, those are quite the levels for any Pokemon owned by NPCs.

If that isn’t bad enough, Lysandre will use Mienshao, Pyroar and Honchkrow as the core of his team. Even though these given Pokemon aren’t anywhere close to Legendary Pokemon, any competitive player knows they quite pack the punch. On top of this, Lysandre will you his Mega Gyarados. Thankfully, his Mega Gyarados doesn’t have the move Dragon Dance. It still has more power than most Pokemon, but at least it isn’t out-and-out overpowered. Finally, Lysandre will have and use Xerneas in Pokemon Ultra Sun. And yes, it has the dreaded Geomancy as one of its move. Now no, Xerneas isn’t equipped with the Power Herb, forcing it to take to move to power up this attack. However, if you don’t defeat it while it’s charging this move, it will literally go on a sweeping spree. It almost isn’t fair, as Lysandre is the only leader that has a Mega Evolution and a Legendary Pokemon (on top of the only Legendary Pokemon in Xerneas that has a Stat Increasing Move).
