Top 15 Hoenn Pokemon that Deserve a Mega Evolution

#3 - Shiftry

Breaking into our top three is Shiftry. Much like Breloom and the two Pokemon ranked ahead of it. most Pokemon Fans felt that it would be a guarantee that Shiftry would receive a Mega Evolution. It was a Fan Favorite back in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and it just seemed right for it to get one. The hype also increased when leaked images of the Elite Four in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire showed that Sidney held a Key Stone. Sidney's lead Pokemon was Shiftry, and it just made sense. But the Pokemon Creators left out Shiftry, and just gave Sidney a Mega Absol.

Like many others in this countdown, we can see Mega Shiftry having an easy and simple transition into its Mega Form. We think it is most realistic for it to keep Chlorophyll for its ability. With this, most of the 100 Base Stat Boost Boost could be invested in Mega Shiftry's Attack and special Attack, with smaller boosts to its defensive stats. Mega Shiftry would blow trainers away with its Mixed Sweeper Abilities, especially if it's in sunlight and has its speed double. If it get something like this as a Mega Evolution one day, you better look out.

#2 - Flygon

Coming up just shy of being the number one deserving Hoenn Pokemon that still needs a Mega Evolution is Flygon, and it actually as an argument to at least be tied at the number one spot. With the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, many Pokemon Fans were left wondering why Flygon didn't receiving a Mega Evolution. You would have thought that it would have been a shoe in, along with a number of other Pokemon on this list, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It has always been a great Pokemon who had a lot of popularity, but apparently the Pokemon Creators didn't think it should have one (at least not a present time).

Mega Flygon would be another one of those Mega Evolutions who wouldn't change much in its new form. It would probably receive a balanced boosts to each of its Base Stats, which is easily predictable by how balanced its stats already are. It would probably receive a little more boost to its speed and attack, but not by much. The most change would occur with its ability, and we see it getting something special for having to wait the extra time. Much like Pixilate or Aerilate, we think Flygon could receive something similar but in regards to Ground or Dragon Type Attacks. Just think how much power it would have behind Normal Type Attacks like Quick Attack, Return, and Giga Impact that would turn into STAB Moves. It would be PERFECT for Mega Flygon.
