Top 15 Hoenn Pokemon that Deserve a Mega Evolution

#5 - Mightyena

In terms of desperately needing a Mega Evolution, Mightyena might just top every other Pokemon on this list. It has mediocre stats that contradict its tough looking appearance. It just is an overall bad Pokemon, with really no use in competitive play. A Mega Evolution would be a blessing for it, but it might not ever receive one. Mightyena was never the most popular Pokemon, so it might not be worthy enough to receive on in the eyes of the Creators. And that's why it doesn't rank higher on our list.

As a Mega Evolution, we think more of the 100 Base Stat Boost would be focused on improving Mightyena's Speed and Defensive Stats. It could really use some offensive help, but we think the boost will be minimum to its Attack Stat and be left for its ability to make up for. The best ability to this justify this predicament would obviously be something in the realm of Pure Power or Huge Power, doubling Mega Mightyena's Attack Power. However, the Creators might just make it more of a defensive Pokemon instead. Both are possible options for it, but we think the offensive one would be better for it in particular.

#4 - Breloom

Also breaking into the top five is Breloom, the Technician Expert. Breloom wasn't the best Pokemon when it was first released, but that quickly changed once it received Technician for its Hidden Ability. After that took place, Breloom began to dominate the World of Pokemon. It could manipulate this ability, and with EXTREME amounts of power too. Breloom was a force to be reckoned with, especially since it had Spore in its arsenal. Spore guarantees the opponent with fall asleep, and it has PERFECT accuracy. It's crazy.

As a Mega Evolution, we can legitimately see Breloom keeping Technician. It's already a FANTASTIC ability, so they couldn't go wrong there. As for its 100 Base Stat Boost, we can see Breloom receiving HUGE Boosts to its Attack and Speed. Breloom's one weakness is Speed, but Mega Breloom will have plenty to go around. Combine this with an Attack Stat that should exceed 150, and you'll have one of the best Sweepers in existence. If you thought facing Breloom was a pain in your neck, just wait until you have to face its Mega Evolution. It's a relatively simple Mega Evolution, but that's all Mega Breloom would need in order to do what it already does best.
