#13 - Swellow

Up next in our countdown is Swellow. Now Swellow doesn't really NEED a Mega Evolution; it's actually a REALLY good Pokemon. It has pretty good stats and an AMAZING ability. Swellow is probably the best Guts Ability manipulator, especially since it can manipulate Facade and STAB with it. Swellow packs a HUGE PUNCH, being able to ALMOST One Hit Knockout a Full Strength Groudon. It's crazy strong, but that didn't stop us from putting it on our list; it has a real shot of getting a Mega Evolution, especially since Pidgeot recently received one.

As a Mega Evolution, we actually see Swellow getting a major overhaul. Since it wouldn't be able to manipulate Guts and Facade anymore (since it can't hold a Toxic or Flame Orb), it would need a new ability. And what better ability for it than Speed Boost. With this extra given speed each turn, Swellow can receive a Huge Boost to its Attack Stat, along with a few smaller boosts to its Defensive Stats. Mega Swellow will be a force to be reckoned with, even though its defenses will still be pretty frail. All Mega Evolutions have a flaw, and that would be the only one for Swellow.

#12 - Walrein

Coming in just ahead of Swellow is Walrein. Now Walrein has always been a good Pokemon - much like Swellow - and has always been a popular Pokemon because of this. It can literally take hit after hit, but it still has some pretty good offensive power. A Mega Evolution would continue to build off this, and it would be a pretty strong Pokemon (considering it would have a Base Stat total of 630).

Mega Walrein would be much different from its normal form, besides be MUCH stronger. We envision it receiving large boosts to its Defense, Special Defense, and Special Attack, along with a smaller boost to its Attack. Walrein is a Walrus, so it isn't realistic for it to receive anymore Speed. We could be wrong, but it just wouldn't make much sense. Walrein would continue to be a bulky defensive Pokemon, but it will have a good amount of power behind its Special Attack. Especially if the creators give it something like Pixilate as an ability. We can just imagine this thing using rest and then UNLEASHING on WICKED SNORE. It would be INSANE. So much bulk, so much HP, and so much power; it would make one stellar Mega Evolution.
