Top 15 Hoenn Pokemon that Deserve a Mega Evolution

#7 (Tied) - Seviper

Up next in our countdown is Seviper, the Snake Pokemon who was the Hoenn Choice for Team Rocket's Jessie. Seviper has always been at war with Zangoose, but has never compared to its foe. Zangoose has always been the superior choice over Seviper, especially after receiving the ability Toxic Boost. Seviper has always lurked in Zangoose's shadow, but could never get the upperhand. A Mega Evolution would perhaps change this, and actually give Seviper a chance against his enemy.

Every Mega Evolution has to begin somewhere, and Seviper's would take place with its Speed Stat. Mega Seviper would need to use a lot of its 100 Base State Boost to improve its mediocre speed, and whatever left would be seen split into its Attack and Special Attack. They could even take away a bit of its defensive stats to fulfill this. Mega Seviper would be a Mixed Sweeper, who could actually scare a few people. Probably not Zangoose, but still. And as for a new ability, we can see Mega Seviper receiving something like Shadow Tag. Shadow Tag would prevent Pokemon trying to flee from Seviper's rath from leaving battle, leaving them to face this beast. Zangoose wouldn't be able to run, and the epic battle to end this feud could finally take place.

#7 (Tied) - Zangoose

Sharing the spot of the seventh most deserving Hoenn Pokemon to receive a Mega Evolution with Seviper is Zangoose. Seviper and Zangoose have always been sworn enemies, so it would only make sense that both would receive a Mega Evolution, with an equal amount of warrant. Zangoose has always been the better of the two, especially after it received Toxic Boost as its ability. With Toxic Boost, Zangoose became a Physical Freak of Nature in regards to its Attacking Power. However, it's speed is still lacking.

This would all change with Mega Zangoose - literally. It's possible it could still have Toxic Boost as its ability, but it wouldn't make much sense since it can't manipulate the Toxic Orb. Instead, we think it would be better for it just to have Huge Power or Pure Power instead, which will immediately double its Attack Power. With an ability like this, Zangoose could use more of the 100 Base Stat Boost to improve its Speed and Defenses, as well as a little to improve its daunting attack. Zangoose will finally be the threat that it should have always been: a physical specimen with AMAZING speed. One thing would be for sure, Seviper would have even more problems.
