Well the trick for always having ammo is good use of a knife. Wen you're up against 1 or 2 enemies just shoot them in the kneecap and kick them if they are on their knees then knife or just knife if they fell completely. This saves around 4-8 handgun bullets per enemy. If you need to find ammo than always check for barrels or boxes. Don't just shoot randomly at enemies becuz they usually walk so they are slow and you hav time to aim. Don't upgrade you're wepon if you're going to sell it later for a better one. Like if you're in the beginning you shuldnt upgrade you're handgun unless you will keep it throughout the game. Also wen you're about to fight a boss, try to buy a rocket launcher as this saves a ton of ammo
