How do I beat salazars right hand man?

Ok before you start fighting him you should notice that their are hydrogen tanks in 4 places in the tunnel.when your fighting him and he gets real close to you,you have to press the action button to knock the tank over.have your shotgun out and when hes frozen kick him and shoot him while hes on the ground.4 tanks and he should be dead.

side note:when you kill him you get a crown jewel which you can combine with the crown

Its quite easy. During your adventures in the castle, you might (depending if you go there) find a rocket launcher. If you get it keep it till you get to the fight with salazars right hand man,or just buy one from the merchant you see before you fight him. When you are fighting him,knock over the Liquid nitrogen tanks to freeze him, then blow him up with the rocket launcher.
(NOTE: you may wanna take a few steps backfirst.)

Ok here us a striker get herbs any thing in good us and pray to god becuase he is hard you're goin to need a rocket luancher 1.thing press the button and wait for the door to open while waiting keep shoting and running remember to get ready and doge when the door opens get out and run to the elevator drop all of the tanks that will make him turn into ice when you get to the room wait at the other tank and look at the door when he opens it drop it and go all rocket luancher on him

Buy the rocket launcher and when he comes down hit him witha n2o barrel then use the Rocket launcher

nock over the liqwid tank and blow him up with a rocket lancher and that should do itttt yaaaa buddie

Defeting salizars whatever is easy.all you have to do buy a rocket launcher and shoot his head off.ps:iv'e beat the game 5 times so I KNOW I'm right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, guy right above this, I've beaten the game 154 times on regular, and 104 times on professional. So you aint got nothin! The way I did it, when the arms come down, back up, slash the arms, he falls, and you blow him up. Even with a pistol it works!

Well what I do is I run like crazy and knock the n2o tanks over and when he's frozen I throw a hand grenade at him and I throw a indescery grenade at him and I just repeat that but if I run out of grenades I shot him with my broken butterfly and shotgun

Am I the only one who just ran around and dodged his attacks for 4 mins until the elevator came up? You can 'beat' him without taking a single shot. Also, spending 30,000 on a rocket launcher negates any value from the crown piece if you kill him.

I recognize the capabilities of the Rocket Launcher, the Broken Butterfly, and the shotguns, but I found the most effective and practically life-saving weapon to use for your first play-through of the game to be the TMP . I prefer this weapon because it has the capability to provide a substantial amount of firepower over a small period of time, hence useful in this kind of boss fight where you only have so many chances each with only so much time to deal damage. After running toward and knocking over a liquid nitrogen tank once he got close enough, I approach as he is frozen, round-house him, and spray with purpose. (I had my TMP almost maxed out on all 4 stats, though I didn't buy the stock -- I mean who would right? ) I repeat the process making good use and timing of the other three tanks. The key is to find and remember where the liquid nitrogen tanks are, knock them over only when he comes close, make good use of the KICK prompt you get after freezing him, and shoot the heck out of him until he becomes normal again, then run like hell. I successfully kill him with 250 Rounds with 1.20 Damage Per Shot fired at 10 Rounds Per Second. That's 300.00 Damage in firing the TMP in 30 Seconds! 10 Damage Per Second! At that point (if you manage to get the money to do this) that's more damage than the Striker! I usually saved up enough TMP Ammo to do this successfully. But if I ran out short, I would then switch to the Striker that you can buy and upgrade from the Merchant just before you fight him.

Here're Some Tips:
- Don't Use Incendiary Grenades! (It will thaw out the Liquid Nitrogen Gas)
- You can only damage Salazar's Right Hand by exposing him to Liquid Nitrogen, his skin is too tough without it
- Make sure you "git gud" at reacting to button prompts (YOU WILL SEE A LOT OF THEM!)
- Don't be stupid thinking you can take a nice stroll or stay in one spot for several seconds! This boss is very deadly and can decapitate you if you give it the chance! KEEP RUNNING!
- Don't get over-confident or panic-y. Keep Calm and Cool, though there's nothing wrong with celebrating a hard-won victory!
- Focus on timing, ammo conservation, and elements in the environment that will help you survive (eg Liquid Nitrogen Tanks, Ammo, Herbs, etc)

First play through of HD version and I'm playing on Normal mode because it's the hardest setting I can do on round one.
Just wanna say that going off some of the answers people have put here, it's almost like they are playing a different game.

The best and most ammo efficient way to kill this guy is as follows...
Figure out where all four nitrogen tanks are and keep them in your mind. Head to the room at the far end of the tunnel. By this point you'll have noticed button prompts. Keep following the prompts and head to the back right hand corner of the room at the far end of the corridor and activate the power to the elevator. The room will seal shut trapping you with the boss for a few minutes.
Go to the first nitrogen tank and wait there. The boss will drop down to the ground near the door. Wait until it runs towards you, once you have it in front of you kick over the tank freezing him temporarily. Use any gun and shoot him 4 times. He will them unfreeze and jump to the roof. Walk away(around the generator in a constant circle to stop him getting you trapped in a dead end) until you hear it drop down to the floor and can hear it running behind you. RUN! You will get promted again to dodge. You can use the prompt, however if you timed it right you will be just out of his reach without needing to dodge. Then walk again until you hear him running behind you and repeat. (The reason to walk first is so you don't get to far ahead of him. If you do get too far ahead he will run the opposite way and come at you head on.)

Keep doing this until the door opens, then run to the next tank. Push it over and shoot him 4 times with any gun. Then run to third, (using the dodge prompts as you go) repeat, then run to the fourth and final one. 4 shots with any gun and he explodes.
Congratulations you just wasted him with 16 rounds, without wasting a rocket or any explosive on him!
