Resident Evil 4 is a third-person shooter horror game where you control U.S. government special agent Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent on a mission to rescue the U.S. president's daughter Ashley Graham, who has been kidnapped by a cult. In a rural part of Europe, Leon fights hordes of villagers infected by a mind-controlling parasite, and reunites with the spy Ada Wong. The Mercenaries mini game becomes unlocked when you complete the main campaign on any difficulty setting. In this feature you can play as five characters: Leon, Ada, Krauser, Hunk and Wesker. There are 4 stages, each of which has unique bosses and enemies which you need to defeat.

Money is not easy to come by in Resident Evil 4 so it is important that you keep a tight budget and don't waste it unnecessarily when you get the opportunity to buy things from a merchant. This means just buying things you will use and at the same time selling things you don't use so you can use the money it nets to buy something useful.

Ashley is fragile, so when you find her you need to make sure you take care of her as it is game over if she is killed. It is therefore helpful whenever possible to put her out of harms way before you engage in combat with enemies. Keep an eye out for a large empty bin which can be found in certain areas of the game and use it as a hide out place for Ashley while you fight off large groups of enemies. Just remember to call her out when the fight is over.

The P.L.R. 412 is a powerful laser that has unlimited ammo which is capable of killing enemies with the Las Plagas parasite in them. This weapon shoots a small laser projectile that blinds enemies and when charged is able to unleash a big blast that kills everything in front of you. The P.L.R. 412 is unlocked by beating the main campaign on the Professional difficulty and it can then be purchased for 0 Pesetas from any merchant regardless of the difficulty.

When you get 4 stars and 30,000 points on the indicated level the corresponding playable character will become unlocked.

Get 4 stars (30,000 points) on the Island Commando (Army Base) level.
Albert Wesker
Get 4 stars (30,000 points) on the Water World Level.

The Ditman Glitch is still working on the ps4. In order to activate this glitch you must have the Striker shotgun and at least one other weapon,grenade,egg etc... Simply have the striker equipped and aim in,but before the laser sight appears quickly go to your inventory screen and swith weapons. If done correctly leon should be moving around 1.5 times faster.
