I have read all the questions on killing the big hydra, but I keep tapping O over and over and instead of the hyrda hitting the pole, I do. Is that normal? Because I have hit him on that pole about 40 times and he is still fine and the pole won't break. What do I do now?

Keep, trying. It may take a while for it to break. Try tapping the O button faster than what you have been.
