My game keeps freezing up when i enter the little door after u defeat all of the singing girls what do i do and when i try save it at the door it starts to freeze and it continues to freeze

The same exact thing was happening to me. I took out the game and cleaned it off and then i blew in the ps2, like i used to do with nintendo, and then it worked. But now i am on the challenge of poseidon an its frozen again. I don't know if this is my ps2 or just the game. I bought the game new, and my other games work fine. I don't know whats up
