God of War Questions

After I get passed the criss-cross saw blades, I enter a long room where there are several warriors with magical shields. The floor opens up before I get a change to defeat the warriors and I fall and die. How do I get passed this room?

Hi. This bit can be a little frustrating, but this is how I did it. After a few attempts it should pay off. When Kratos spawns just before he enters the room, choose the magic from the chest unless your health bar is low. When he enters the room, immediately head for the guards with those pesky magic swords. Now, this is the bit which people have trouble with - taking out the shields. But let the soldiers get close and then pess square, square, triangle, but only a very quick press on the triangle button, any longer and Kratos will perform something else. The blades of chaos (I think thats what they are called) are good for the long range, and if you're lucky, you can take out two, three or even four shields, depending on proximity. Then switching to Zeus's Fury (or whatever it's called, I'm hopeless at the names of weapons) shoot out the soldiers and the sirens. When that runs out, the last remaining sirens can be butchered with your weapon(s) of choice.

The key is taking out those magic shields quickly though, (square, square, quick tap triangle) and don't linger on the collapsing floor. Run straight to the top of the screen to safety, where the item is. Hpe that helps.
