PIllars on the Rooftops of Athens

I can not get to the other side, where the path splits into 2 paths, from the second pillar. I have tried using the backward jump and rapidly hitting the square and x buttons to get across the gap but each I die. Please help me.

Hi, I'm not sure were you are, If your at the coward, you need to have Zeus fury, Were the save altar is go out the lower door and turn right and find a BIG Cross bow push it and take it to another room, in the next room there's a design on the floor in front of the 2nd. Door on the left,place the crossbow on the design and open the door and battle, pull lever it will turn the crossbow a 1/4 turn, push it off pull handle again and then put the X-bow back on and pull handle again, now move it and shoot the door. If your somewhere else look for a rope, Or on the double jump leave a pause in between your jumps, X....X
