Now, I did not follow my guide to Windhelm but went for a stroll on my own instead, chanced upon Greywater grotto and then discovered Fort Neugrad. I am now about to storm the prison there, after killing a fellow by the name of Brandish. The question is : if I complete a side quest before even meeting the character who will suggest the quest to me, then does it suppress said quest, or does the guy just say 'Oh, jolly good, I can see you have already done what I had in mind for you to do.' ? And do I get the points or the reward or whatever all the same ?
