Starting from the stairs and ending at the gate with the lever the pillars should be-
Eagle
Whale
Snake
Whale
Assuming you haven't already passed the puzzle.

for some reason, everytime I try to activate the pillars, none of them want to move, i don't why

You could be clicking on the wrong ones. The ones on the stairs are to show you where they go.

Just behind and above each pillar is a picture of which animal should be facing forward. There are 6 pillars enjoy
