First off all you need to start a new game. After you have done that you need to catch Mew inorder to do that you must?first go to Cerulean City. Then you go across nugget bridge and go to the grassy area on the left. After go in front of the trainer and pause in sight. Fly, dig, or teleport to Cerulean City. Once you do this you cannot pause. Then go fight youngster and his lv 17 slowpoke(make sure you are a space away from him). If you win you will be able to pause and fly dig or teleport to Cerulean City. Go across nugget bridge and it will pause once you unpause you will find a lv 7 Mew.Then once you have caught that level 7 Mew you must go to the entrance of the Pokemon league and then the guards will challenge you to a battle 1 by 1.Then if you win the battle using Mew and only Mew they will let you past.But then when you get to the water and beat the guard by the water they will give you the HM surf.So then eventually Once you have beaten the 8th guard he will give you the hm strengh.So you can go through the cave and get to the Pokemon league.
Need to have access to Cinnabar and need to know surf & fly. First go to viridian and go up from Pokemon center you see a girl. Right above her is an old man. Talk to him and say no. He'll show you how to catch a Pokemon. After fly to Cinnabar. Go all the way to the right. Then put the item you want get a lot of and list it as your sixth item. Do that by pressing select and then press select on sixth item then use surf ( for example Blastoise) and just go up and down. ONLY be on half- land half-water. Should encounter missingno. If level 0, run anything higher level after get on land. Check 6th item should have a weird symbol next to it it means it has more then 9 of that item. See ya
During the saving that takes place when switching the Box, first the Pokémon data on all the PC Boxes is saved, and then the Pokémon data on the player's party. If some Pokémon are deposited in the PC before switching the Box, interrupting the saving process (turning the power off) at the right moment (ideally, before the "S" in the dialog Box appears but after the Box has appeared) causes said Pokémon to be present both in the Box and the player's party.

To catch Mewtwo you must complete the game and have a master ball. You only get the master ball once. Go to the cave in Cerulean City(surf) and go inside. Go in random directions and if you see a Pokemon it is mewtwo. Talk to it you will have a lv 70 mewtwo. At the begining throw the master ball at him and you will catch him.

Step 2: Talk to the grumpy old guy with the coffee
Step 3: When he asks you if you are in a hurry, say no and watch him catch the Weedle
Step 4: When he is done, Fly to Cinawood Island and go to your right the farthest you can go to the water
Step 5: Where that bar thing thats on half land half water, surf on that. DO NOT GO INTO OPEN WATER OR IT WONT WORK!!
(Side effects may include corrupt Hall Of Fame with awesome music, Wild Pokemon on High Levels such as over 100, Wild Pokemon on Level 0, rarely corrupt game file, glitchy trainers, and other.)
Zapdos - Zapdos can be found inside the Power Plant. It is a part of the Legendary Bird Trio. It is an Electric / Flying Type Pokemon. It will be at Level 50. Try to catch it with an Ultra Ball.
Moltres - Moltres can be found deep inside Victory Road. It is a part of the Legendary Bird Trio. It is a Fire / Flying Type Pokemon. It will be at Level 50. Try to catch it with an Ultra Ball.
Articuno - Articuno can be found deep inside Seafoam Islands. It is a part of the Legendary Bird Trio. It is an Ice / Flying Type Pokemon. It will be at Level 50. Try to catch it with an Ultra Ball.
Mewtwo - Mewtwo can be found deep inside the Cerulean Cave. It is the strongest Pokemon you can find within the game. It is a Psychic-Type Pokemon. It will be at Level 70. If you still have the Master Ball, this would be a good Pokemon to use it on.
Mew - Mew cannot be found within this game. Mew can only be obtained by an Event or by Trade.
If you do the Missingno. Trick, and have a 7-letter name, you can find LV.100 or higher Pokemon when surfing up and down the east coast.

1.step in front of the gambler use fly to lavender town.(you won't be able to save)

Oh no, not another Missingno. thing. This is different, this Cheat is just telling you about Missingno. and why he is actually a GOOD thing to capture.
Alright, first off, Missingno. has some pretty good Stats. His Stats actually depend on his level (as usual). For example, if Missingno. is at level 80, his Attack will be 180, which is really good. Another thing though, if he is at level 80, his Defense will only be 8, which is bad but, any Poke'mon should be dead in one hit with Stats of 180 Attack, at only level 80. If he's at level 120, his Attack would be 220 and defense will be 12, but once he level ups, his level will go down to 100, but his Stats will stay the same.
Another good thing to remember is that Missingno. can learn basically all TM's and HM's. When Missingno. is captured, he only knows three moves: Water Gun, Water Gun(Yes, two Water Guns), and Sky Attack. These are all pretty good moves.
Clearing Some Things Up:
I've personally have captured Missingno. numerous times on one file (I used to have a whole team of Missingno's); I have yet to experience any "Save Difficulties", Although, I HAVE experienced things such as your Hall of Fame being screwed up (but that's not important). Also, Missingno. tends to mess up the way some Poke'mon look, i.e. flipped and a little slashed out, but it doesn't damage gameplay. (This is probably the longest Cheat I've ever submitted )

SAVE WARNING - Once inside Glitch City, DO NOT save your game. If you save your game within Glitch City, the save file will become corrupted and you will not be able to load it properly, forcing you to abandon your playthrough and start a new game. As utilizing this glitch involves Flying to Cinnibar Island, an area only explored during the latter half of the game, it means you'll probably have played for numerous hours that you don't want to lose, so use caution with this glitch.

Follow these steps for the only known way to access Glitch City, a 'city' comprised entirely of 'glitched' pixels:
1. Enter the Safari Zone in Fuschia City. Pay $500 to play the Safari Game. Once inside, exit. The clerk will ask if you're "Leaving alreadY?". Answer "No". You'll automatically re-enter. Once inside, save your game and turn off your system.
2. Turn your system back on and load up your save. Exit the Safari Zone. The clerk won't say anything. Walk to exit. The clerk won't say anything. As you pass the clerk, he will start with the "Welcome to the Safari Zone" speech, despite the fact that you have already paid and entered. When asked if you will be participating, select "No", and exit the building.
3. Once outside, Fly to Cinnibar Island. Head east and Surf. Keep Surfing along the Sea Route until the PA message "Your Safari Game is over!" strangely pops up. You'll suddenly exit into the Safari Game building again. Take the exit that leads into Fuschia City. However, instead of exiting into Fuschia, you'll exit into Glitch City. Enjoy!
NOTE - The Safari Game glitch can be performed virtually anywhere. However, if you're anywhere other than the Sea Route east of Cinnibar when the PA message pops up, you'll just exit out of the nearest building afterwards.
Okay, so you may have deposited your Bike in your PC or never even bothered to get one, and you really can't be bothered to pick it up so you can get on Cycling Road.
There's a simple solution. When you enter either of the guardhouses that separate Cycling Road from Celadon/Fuschia City, walk so that you that the counter is right next to you. When the guard stops you and says that you need a Bicycle, keep on pressing Left on the D-Pad and after he's finished speaking you will walk past him anyway.
A very convenient and useful glitch!
In the Game Corner in Celadon City, you can obtain 230 free Game Coins without even playing the slot machines. If you walk around inside the Game Corner pressing A, you will occasionally find some Coins on the floor. In total, you can find 180 Coins. In addition, you can gain an extra 50 free Coins from people around the Game Corner playing the slots machines. One of the guys to the far left will give you 10 Coings, and the two guys to the far right will give you 20 Coins each. You now have more than enough Coins to purchase an Abra without even having to play the slots machines or buy the Coins beforehand from the guy behind the counter.
You'll need the Coin Case to even be able to pick up any Coins, however. You can get one by talking to the guy at the top of the diner.
Cheat requirements:
1.) Pokemon in your party with HM move "FLY"
2.) Vermillion, Cerulean, and Pewter city gym badges
3.) access to celadon city
4.) some form of catching device, (poke- great- ultra- or masterball)
You can do this cheat anytime during the game so long as the requirements above have been met.
We all know the famous limited Mew cheat where you go from celadon to lavender by means of the underground path then flying away from the gambler as he spots you, to cerulean then up to the youngster with the slowpoke, beat him the fly to lavender for your mew. Well you can stretch those boundaries in many different ways. Start at the end of the underground path, and flying away from the gambler (this is the basis of the entire cheat code b/c you shouldn't be able to fly away from any trainer that spots you). You can fly to lavender or cerulean, or other towns, but I haven't tested that yet.
If you went to cerulean, battle one those trainers after nugget bridge if you haven't, and make sure they walk to you when the spot you. Beat the trainer and you can now fly to lavender and walk to the left OR you could fly to celadon and take the underground path route, when you do that you will walk out the door and stand on the door. The start menu will pop up, press B and you will re-enter the building and be forced into a battle. If you take the celadon way, you can get a gengar, nidoqueen, lapras, cubone, pinsir, and even a scyther, something you can not get in blue without trading.
Now if you flew to lavender town after the gambler spotted you, you can go north or south, it doesnt matter, if you decide south, you can go all the way down to the people before the fuschia city gate. And that's a lot of Pokemon for your pokedex, too many to list anyways, but it's no fun to completely spoil everything. If you took north you only can fight 4 tainers :(, also don't go in the rock tunnel b/c you wouldn't be able to fly out. But like the previous method, you must let the trainer WALK TO YOU or your game will freeze and you'd have wasted time for nothing. Beat the trainer and you can now fly to lavender and walk to the left OR you could fly to celadon and take the underground path route, when you do that you will walk out the door and stand on the door. The start menu will pop up, press B and you will re-enter the building and be forced into a battle.
So once the Mew cheat is done, it doesn't mean the fun ends there! You could fill over half your pokedex this way and plus, you can get Pokemon not found in blue version too!. But like all great cheats there's a catch: everything you find will be Lv.7 so the missingno. Cheat will come in handy.

Despite submissions that may be submitted, I from personal experience will tell you the flaws in the glitch:
1. It messes up your Hall of Fame (not important)
2. If you start a new game AFTER you've caught Missingno, and the sprites begin getting messed up, then congratulations! You've just killed you're game. It will begin deleting saves, and freezing after the intro video.
Some Upsides are:
1. Level 100+ Pokemon (with the rare candy glitch, these Pokemon can get to level 245)
2. 129 of any item in you're sixth slot
3. Pokemon with ∞ health
4. (If you're willing to risk you're game): A level 100 Kangaskan knowing any move

Bug - Super Effective against: Grass, Poison, Psychic. Not Very Effective against: Fighting, Fire, Flying.
Dragon - Super Effective against: Dragon. Not Very Effective against: (nothing).

Everyone knows the famous Mew glitch.But I found a way to use it for other pokemon. Start of the Mew glitch by flying away from the trainer near the entrance to cerulan cave and fly to celdon.Then,walk to theleft inn till you see a group of bikers fight the first one you see below you and fly back to cerulan and walk up nugget bridge.The start menue will open,close it and a wild level7 hitmonlee will appear.
To get to Missingo you have to go to viradian city and make the old man teach you how to catch a pokemon. After that fly to cinnabar city and go to the left shore and surf up and down. After you will find Missingo or m block. NOTE: this works for Pokemon red. NOTE2: Missingo is at a high level m block is at level 0. NOTE3: this could mess up your game and corrup it. Also your hall of fame will glitch up.
Yes, there is another way of making it so that you can get on the SS Anne after a while of gameplay.
Now for prep time.
1. You have to have a Pokemon that knows Surf.
2. You must be willing to save the game.
Now what you have to do, is, stand right above the sailor man blocking the way. Now you have to move your guy left so that you are diagonal to the sailor man. Now you have to do this quickly, so read ahead before you try this. You have to go to the right and quickly press START and save the game. Then restart the game. If you notice, usually when you save the game and turn off, your man on your screen is looking downwards, but for some odd reason, your man is looking right when you do this. If he is not looking right, then you need to go back and do this cheat again. Now that your facing right, don't move. Press start and go to your Pokemon that knows Surf. Use surf and for some odd reason, you automatically go downward on top of the sailor man! Now you can get past him! So once you go past him you find that the SS Anne is still there! So if there were any items you did not get, or any trainers you did not face, you can do this now.

(Oh and by the way, If you go over to the truck, and try to use strength to see if the Pokemon Mew is under the truck, then you will be severely dissapointed. It does not work. I don't know if this is the same for Yellow, or Red version, but I will try it.)
This is my first cheat, and I know some people probably already posted it, but I need to get some cheats out there.
Now, for prep time. You need to have:
1. Pokemon who knows Fly
2. Pokemon that knows Surf
3. At least 500 dollars.
4. Be willing to save your game.
5. Have been to Fuschia city, and Cinnabar island.
Now what you have to do is go to the Safari Zone and pay the man to go in. NOTE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ONCE YOU ENTER THE SAFARI ZONE, YOU DO NOT TAKE A STEP! Now right when you enter, leave. When he asks you if you want to leave early, say NO. You will then be put back in the Safari zone. Now Save your game, and either reset it, or turn it off and back on. Then once you start the game again, you will be right in the begginning of the Safari Zone. Now you have to leave. Once you leave, the person will not ask you if you want to leave early, instead once you go to leave, he will ask you if you want to do the Safari zone. Say NO, and leave. Now once you get outside, fly to Cinnabar Island. Now go directly to the right, and surf. ONLY SURF ON THE COASTLINE! Just keep goin up and down. (you may encounter safari zone Pokemon, I was able to catch an rhydon w/out a safari ball, and a couple other pokemon.) Then after a while, the PA person from the Safari zone will say "Your time has expired, return to the safari zone" (or something like that) then you will be back inside the safari zone building. Now leave the building and ta da! You will be in glitch city population 1. (If you want to leave, then just fly out. When you return everything will be back to normal.)
