How to Get Potions

The potions that are currently available in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite are mostly geared towards improving your perfomance in trace and Fortress Encounters. They are primarily obtained through brewing mini-games or by going to the in-game micro-transaction store called the Diagon Alley in which you can buy them with gold. Potions will usually take a few hours to brew, but this duration can be reduced by a flat rate of 15% if the Master Notes attached to each recipe are successfully executed. In order to brew a potion the first thing you need to do is collect the necessary ingredients, most of which you will find in Greenhouses, Portkeys, and laying around on the overworld map or if you prefer using gold at the Diagon Alley store. Once you have the required ingredients open the 'potions' menu and tap the 'Brew Now' box to bring up the potion selection interface which will display all of the ingredients, time, and cost in gold to brew the available potions (more potions are added to this list as you level up). If you now tap 'Brew' next to the chosen potion the potion will either automatically start brewing or enter the next spot in the potions queue.

Even when the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite app is closed your potion will continue to brew. Make sure you take advantage of this by queuing up some of your more time-consuming potions when you have to leave the game for a long period of time so that when you return to it your potions will be ready for collecting. There are two ways in which you can increase the brew time of a potion, you can either spend gold at the Diagon Alley Store which will

complete the brewing process immediately or alternately use Master Notes which will reduce the brewing time by 15%. Master Notes is a mini-game.

Master Notes

Master Notes is a mini-game you can play to speed up the brewing time of your potions. This mini-game is found within the Potions interface in the form of 3-6 boxes with question marks on them. These represent the sequence of gestures required to complete the Master Notes mini-game. There are 8 gestures in total. Each time you correctly predict the gesture the question mark on the box will change to match the gesture and the next box in the sequence will unlock. If you enter the wrong gesture however the mini-game will start over. Once you have successfully completed the Master Notes for a specific potion 3 times, the Master Notes will appear every time you brew that potion.
