How to Get Free Gold

The premium currency in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is gold and it can be used to get a number of things, these include spell energy, extra ingredients, speed up potions, and adding more space to your inventory. Although you can always buy gold using real money at the micro-transaction store called the Diagon Alley there are ways you can get it for free during the course of normal gameplay. Daily Rewards

Whenever you log in to Wizards Unite for the first time each day you will be given gold. If you keep logging in daily you will become eligible for the higher amounts when you get to them later in the month.

Level Up

You will recieve several items which includes gold each time you reach the next level as a wizard or witch. The problem with this method of getting gold though is that each subsequent level takes more XP to reach. To level up as quickly as possible you need to catch foundables, use Portkeys, and compete in Wizarding Challenges - especially with friends.

Daily Assignments

Completing your your Daily Assignments in any given day is a guaranteed way to earn you gold. These are worthwhile doing anyway as it is a good way to get spell energy which is essential for casting spells. Completing one Wizarding Challenge every day can also earn you a small amount of gold.

Complete Achievements or SOS Tasks

The Achievements and SOS tabs are accessed via the Daily Assignments icon where they can be found on the bottom navigation bar. These are always worth checking out for gold-yeilding opportunities. Just check down your achievements list to find which ones are paying out and try to focus on those if you're low on gold. You will find that it is easy to complete achievements without even realising so make sure you check back often to if you have some gold waiting to collect.

Random foundable Rewards

Just through normal gameplay defeating Confoundables and freeing the Foundables they guard can sometimes get you gold. You cannot rely on this method as it does not happen very often.
