How to Get Free Spell Energy

To defeat the confoundables you find in the world will require spell energy which is essential to your ability to cast spells. The primary way you can get this valuable resource for free in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is by top ups from visiting inns. If you visit an inn every 5 minutes and cast a simple spell you will recieve a random spin of the dishes on display which will give you between 1-10 spell energy at a time.

There are currently 5 types of inns and they are colour coded as follows:

• Blue - Three Broomsticks

• Brown - Ministry Inn

• Pink - Madam Puddifoot's Tea

• Purple - Butter Beer Inn

• Green - Pub Weasley Inn

Below is the amount of spell energy you can expect to get from a particular Inn.

1 spell energy

Tomato Soup / Afternoon Tea:

Brown and Purple inns

2 spell energy

Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans / Pumpkin Juice

Green, Blue, and Purple inns

3 spell energy

Violet Pudding:

Pink inns

5 spell energy

Bangers and Mash:

Purple inns

6 spell energy

Fish and Chips / Honeyduke's Chocolate Bar:

Brown, Blue, and Green inns

7 spell energy

Butterbeer

Blue and Purple inns

10 spell energy

Turkey Dinner

Green inns

Time Saving at Inns

There is no need to wait for the full animation of the food to reveal itself after completing the spell trace at an inn. Once you complete it you can immediately exit the inn and still get the spell energy. Also, spell traces are not colour coded for accuracy like they are in Trace Encounters so it will not affect which type of food you get from an inn's 5 options. The food you recieve will always be randomely selected among the 5 types of food shown to you initially.
