How to Preventing Applications From Using Location Information

By default when you setup Windows 8 you may have given apps to access to your location.Anyone with the right tools could easily find out where you've been with your laptop over a significant period of time, so if you're worried about this, you may want to turn this features off.

What to do:

    Press the Windows + I keyboard combination and click on the Change PC Settings.

    The Metro Control Panel opens, Go to the Privacy section.

    Scroll down on the right-hand side you will see a setting allowing apps to use your location.

    Move the slider to the left to turn it off.
