If you have just switched to Windows 8 and find yourself constantly sending files to the recycle bin by mistake, it’s probably because Microsoft disabled the delete confirmation dialog, here’s how to re-enable it.What to do:
- Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and select Properties.
- Check the box Display delete confirmation dialog.
- Try to delete something you will be asked if you really want to send the item(s) to the recycle bin.
