This legendary sword also known as Blade of Evil's Bane, the Sword of Time, and the Sword of Resurrection is imbued with the power to vanquish evil. The Master Sword has certain traits that make it worth collecting for when you encounter the game's final boss. It can be found within Korok Forest in the northern Woodlands region. To reach this location you will need to traverse the Lost Woods which is a hazardous path that will reset your progress if you take a wrong turn. Once you cross this treacherous stretch and are in the Korok Forest you need to make sure you create a fast travel point at the Keo Ruug shrine so you do not have to tackle the Lost Woods again. You will find The Master Sword a short walk to the left of the front of the Great Deku Tree and when you try and pull it The Hero's Sword quest will start. To complete the quest and get the Hero Sword you need to complete 40 Shrines (each Shrine gives you a Shine Orb, and 4 Shrine Orbs is worth 1 Heart Container) and defeat four Divine Beasts (each one gives 1 Heart Container) and complete 24 Shrines for the 6 remaining Hearts.
