Double Damage

You will be able to incur double damage if you aim for the enemy's head or their coloured weak points. A good strategy if you have not been spotted is to use the bow from afar.

Jump

If you jump and press attack when you drop you will slam your weapon into the ground and draw your bow. While drawing your bow time will slow down enabling you to aim with greater accuracy.

Stealth

Always look to perform an instant-kill 'sneak strike' when you encounter a low level enemy. This can be performed when you use stealth to get behind the enemy without them spotting you.

Choose Battles

Be selective with the battles you choose to engage in, if you feel your armour and weaponary isn't up to the task it is more beneficial to retreat and and attempt it another time.

Enemies

Remember that when you kill a certain amount of enemies they will level up and become stronger making them more difficult to defeat. This can be prevented from happening if you avoid them whenever possible. The downside of not levelling up the enemies though is that you miss out on the more powerful loot they drop.

Bokoblin Camps

Clearing out Bokoblin camps is a good source for getting consumables, weapons, and Rupees. If you can kill every enemy in the camp you will unlock a nearby chest that will contain a valuable item.

Arrows

It's always worth having a lot of arrows on hand as the bow is effective weapon for targeting the enemy from afar. Arrows are cheap and even if you do miss the target you can usually find it laying on the ground nearby.

Rusty Sword

If you throw a rusty sword into an Octorok's mouth it will be nice and shiny when you get it back.

Spare Weapons

Weapons degrade and break regularly so it's always worth picking up anyhing you find that you can be used as a weapon as this will ensure you always have something to fight with. Keep an eye out for monster parts in particular as these can also be used to upgrade armour.

Extra Hearts

When you encounter tough bosses you can give yourself extra hearts by grabbing some radishes and cooking them with raw meet.
