New Game Plus in The DioField Chronicles becomes unlocked when you complete the game's main story campaign on any difficulty setting. This New Game Plus Guide will tell you everything you need to know about this feature.

How to Unlock New Game Plus

When you complete the main story campaign of The DioField Chronicle you will unlock New Game Plus and it the feature will be accessible from the main menu. The first thing you must do though is save your completed file to a file slot, which will be labeled with the word 'Clear' to indicate that the game was completed. It is important to remember that you must not delete this file at any point as doing so will mean you will not be able to start a new file on New Game Plus. Any New Game Plus you save will be marked by a star, and they cannot be used to start a game in New Game Plus.

What Carries Over

When you begin a game in New Game Plus you will retain the following things from your original 'Clear' game file that you have saved to a file slot on your system.

- Character Levels

- Equipment

- Items

- Abilities

- Skill Tree progress

- Weapon Development

- Attributes

- Magilumic Orb research

- Unit Rank & Badge Rank

- Guld (Money)

- Cutscenes in the Library

- Play Time

The things that are not carried over when you begin a game in New Game Plus are:

- Unlocked Characters

- Unlocked base facilities

- Mission completion

- Bonus reward completion (required for Trophies)

- Practice Battle Missions

Although all upgrades to characters and facilities, as well as all items and equipment, are automatically available in New Game Plus you need to keep in mind that the characters and facilities themselves will not become available until they have been unlocked. This basically means you won't be able to use your team of choice right away from the start of the game.

New Game Plus Rewards

Playing New Game Plus in The DioField Chronicles gives you the opportunity to max out the skills and abilities of your characters, especially those that you seldom included in your team during your original run. It also allows you to pick up from where you left off on your Weapon Development, Magilumic Orb Research, and Blue Fox Badges progress at The Institute. There are no actual rewards for playing New Game Plus.
