It is essential in The DioField Chronicle that you continually upgrade the Abilities of your characters using Ability Points in order for them to become strong enough to deal with the tough encounters they will inevitably face throughout the game. Take a look at our Ability Points Guide to find out everything you need to know about them.
The Abilities of the different characters in The DioField Chronicle are upgraded using Ability Points and these are rewarded whenever you level up a character. Ability Points basically enable characters to learn new skills that are specific to them and will boost their or the whole party's stats. Keep in mind that the Ability Points that a character receives whenever you level them up is exclusive to them and cannot be shared with other characters. If at any point you decide you want to reset any Ability Points you have used it will cost you 5000 Guld.
You can check what Abilities a character in your party has by going to the 'Abilities' screen. This can be accessed by selecting the icon on the bottom of your character's portrait. At the 'Abilities' screen you will be able to switch between the different Abilities for each of the characters in your party.
There are some Abilities that can only be unlocked once the character has reached a certain rank. You can find out what the requirement is for those Abilities by hovering your cursor over them. The only way to receive Ability Points for a character is to continuously use them in battle, so they earn EXP and level up. The more EXP a character earns the faster they will level up.
The best way to farm Ability Points in The DioField Chronicle is by completing Main Quests. This is because the amount of EXP you gain increases with each new mission completed.
