Although knowing how to do a boost start in Team Sonic Racing does not have a great deal of bearing on the final overall result of the race as a single crash or being hit with an obtacle or opponent is enough to wipe out any benefit that a boost start provided it is still important to get a boost start. Being ahead of the pack allows you to start laying down a slipstream, which will enable your team to get ahead sooner. You willl also get wisps faster, and can share them back to your team to help them break away.
To perform a boost start in Team Sonic Racing you need to press the accelerator as each number is shouted out by the annoucner during the countdown. Each time you successfully time the press of your accelerator you will see a boost charge up at the back of your kart which will change colour with each additional charge.
