Chapter 09 - City Ruins

Upon exiting the Abandoned Factory, 2B receives a distress call from Anemone so hurry back to the Resistance Camp. You cannot use the access point to directly teleport to your destination, so select the closest location instead and trek the rest of the way there. You arrive at the camp to find it in shambles and completely overrun by machines. Destroy all of them before checking up on Anemone in the storage area. Clear the place. Talk to Anemone.

Waiting outside the camp is a familiar-looking Goliath machine. Shoot it until the shield dissipates then move in to start hacking away at it. The Goliath will summon hordes of smaller machines after a while, which can add to the chaos. Keep damaging the Goliath until its down to a small chunk of health, and 9S arrives to destroy the thing in a spectacular fashion. When the scene ends, you are left with a big swirling ball of machines. Destroy this by shooting at the core in the center. You will also unlock Ending L by fleeing from this battle.

After receiving a distress call from Pascal, head to the city ruins exit of the Machine Village and deal with all the enemies there. From this point onward, the machine lifeforms become extremely aggressive and attack in large swarms. This is a good time to rack up on experience and cash if you want to. Once Pascal's Village is safe, head to Eve's location to get started with your final boss encounter of the game.

Eve is fairly predictable at the beginning with his attacks limited to just swinging his debris-laden arms, or throwing stuff. Cut his health down to around half or less and he goes to hide on the floating platforms above. You can shoot him if from one of these platforms if you can see him. Otherwise, you will have to wait for Eve to come down before attacking again. Eventually, Eve will seal himself in a cocoon of machine debris which fully restores his health. At this point continue fighting while 9S hacks into your opponent.

Now for the last bit, damage him until 2B's close-combat capabilities go offline. This leaves the pod as your only option so shoot him until your ranged-combat capabilities break as well. Fortunately, Eve will be done by then so just hobble over to him and finish the battle.
