Chapter 06 - Flooded City

Go do as 9S suggested and see Pascal at the Machine Village. Turns out he's not much help either so head to the Resistance Camp instead. There, speak with Anemone twice to receive your next mission as well as a side quest. You can check the map for event markers and do side missions first if you'd like. Otherwise, track the destination marker to the next level after exiting the sewers. You can try fishing in there for the Iron Pipe weapon if you have it yet by the way. There are plenty of other things you can fish out in the sewers to add to your Fishing Encyclopedia, and the pieces of junk also sell for decent prices in shops.

Once you reach the Flooded City, you can finally continue with the Wandering Couple sidequest if you started way back in the Machine Village earlier in the game. Make sure you have at 50,000G on you to progress however, and you must complete it before the assault mission on the city begins. Or you will fail the quest otherwise.

Moving forward, you will come across a pair of gold machines. These things can take a while to defeat thanks to their force fields, but they do take damage and can be taken down with a bit of patience. New unit data will be added to your library upon defeating them. The item box next to the bus has 1000G in it and be sure to fish in the waters behind this yellow bus so you can find a Pod B. Make your way across the ruined roads and buildings to reach a group of enemies to defeat. Board your flight unit to initiate the big aerial assault mission.

To start, keep destroying small enemies until the big Goliath Flyer appears. Destroy that and something even bigger shows up. At this point, shoot at the small frys until the core comes within range of your flight unit. Aim for the four smaller orbs at the side first then destroy the big one at the center. 2B and 9S will exit the combat area to take control of an artillery once reinforcements arrive. Shoot the machine's shell first then fire into the mouth three times.

For the next part when 9S leaves to try and use the missiles onshore, you are tasked with destroying the EMP devices on the creature. As always, shoot down small targets until a device comes within range for you to attack. Destroy the core so the missile scores a direct hit.
